The season of giving is upon us, and as a small (growing) company, we know how much the support of your community means. We love nothing more than shining a light on other small businesses that we personally frequent, shop at, work with, serve, and love. This holiday season (and beyond), we encourage you to consider doing the same- shop in your own community and support small businesses!

There are SO many reasons to shop local. We love this list of reasons (and infographics) put together by Sustainable Connections.

There are also SO many incredible businesses in all of our markets and the businesses our amazing clients’ businesses have created or are a part of are certainly among them! The below list are just a few of our communities' very favorites in each market!

Pitkin County Dry Goods - As a 50 year locally owned business, Pitkin County Dry Goods prides itself on its curated collection of Men's & Women's fashion. PCDG is now Aspen's second oldest retail store under continuous family ownership.

Meat and Cheese Aspen - Delicious farm to table restaurant but also the best place to pick up the fixings for the perfect board or picnic.

Jus Cafe - with locations in Aspen and Snowmass this is our team's favorite place to refuel with fresh juice and smoothies - try the Dragon smoothie!

🛍️ AUSTIN

Paper + Craft Pantry - Locally-owned stationery shop and workshop studio features independent paper designers, makers and small businesses.

Adelante Boutique - Mother and daughter owned boutique sells chic women's apparel and accessories.

Joy Gift Shoppe - Adorable shop with amazing finds for the home, humans and little humans, too! Beautiful, bespoke and filled with gifts that support other small business, community + creators!

Amanda Deer - A woman-led team based in Austin designs fashionable fine jewelry without the big markup. From personalized necklaces to permanent jewlery, the gifts are luxe but meaningful and won't break the bank!

🛍️ DENVER

Confia Collective - The most fun little woman-owned shop. Perfect for the tarot card curious, astrology loving friends and family in your life. From candles and crystals to books, locally made jewelry and cards- we always find maybe a little too many things that spark our fancy. :)

Old Pine Candle Co. - Yummy, sustainable candles, made locally in Evergreen CO by a killer female team! I am currently a candle club subscriber...monthly seasonal candles shipped to you- yes please! (I always say I am going to save them for gifts and 10000% every time burn it the second I get it...they're just too good).

Keep On Truckin' Hat Co - The owner is even more lovely than the message behind her hats! They are the perfect stocking stuffers with a positive vibe!

Wish Gifts - This is one of our go-to spots for gifts + cards. They have a little something for everyone and we love how everything is curated by theme! Perfect for a last minute stop to throw an amazing gift together and a great place to stock up on gifts + cards a few times a year.

Manofatto Shop - perfectly curated, personal gift boxes and one of our first TULA clients.

Black Knife Bakery- our favorite macarons EVER! Still. She has been on our list every year. :)

The Den- social lounge+coffee shop for families aka the perfect gift for local new parents, truly- everything we wish we had when we were new moms!

Needles & Tox - all things Botox+Dysport, Filler, Medical Grade Skincare, and SkinPen Microneedling by a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and fabulous TULA client!‍

🛍️ NEW YORK CITY

Catbird- Iconic NYC fine-jewelry brand known for delicate gold pieces and permanent bracelets. This is a must-stop every time I visit NYC with locations in Williamsburg + SoHo.

Frances Valentine - Eclectic collection of clothing, accessories + gifts that celebrate personal style with an emphasis on mood-boosting and fun fashion.

Cocoon - Cocoon in NYC is a family-focused social and learning club with locations in Tribeca and the Upper West Side, designed for children ages 0–8 and their families. It offers classes, camps, and community events in large, nature-inspired spaces. We love Cocoon because it is a safe, creative space to explore with other kids while her parents feel part of a welcoming community. The mix of play, learning, and family connection makes it feel like a second home.

The Canopy -The Canopy in Williamsburg is a bright, welcoming indoor playspace designed especially for babies and toddlers, with safe zones for crawling, climbing, and exploring, plus creative classes like art, music, and yoga that nurture early development. At TULA, we love The Canopy because it gives our little ones a joyful, secure environment to grow while parents connect with a warm community—it feels like an extension of our own family space.

OSSA- OSSA New York is a fashion accessories brand based in Tribeca that specializes in stylish, gemstone and beaded phone straps, crossbody chains, and small lifestyle accessories. We love OSSA because it blends fashion with function—parents can keep their phones close and hands-free while chasing little ones, and the designs add a touch of personality to everyday essentials. It’s practical, stylish, and feels like a small luxury woven into daily family life.

Butterfield Market- Butterfield Market is a beloved gourmet grocery store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, known for its upscale prepared foods, fresh produce, artisanal products, and catering services. We love Butterfield Market because it’s more than a grocery store—it’s a culinary haven. Families can grab wholesome prepared meals after a busy day, pick up fresh produce for cooking together, or indulge in a sweet treat like froyo on a walk home. Its blend of tradition, quality, and neighborhood warmth makes it feel like an extension of our community, where food brings people together.

Curate Raleigh - A highly curated collection of handmade goods from the creators.

Flourish Market - A women-owned boutique in Raleigh’s Warehouse District that carries 60+ cause-based brands and focuses on supporting female entrepreneurs and sustainable goods

Black Friday Market - Retail Department Store for small business owners, located in the heart of Downtown Raleigh.

Deco - Lively, colorful, customer-centered gift shop in downtown Raleigh.

White's Mercantile - “A general store for the modern tastemaker” is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Holly Williams.

Franklin Candle Co. - Whether you are savoring a slow morning, setting the mood for a cozy evening, or searching for the perfect gift, our hand-poured soy candles are designed to make every moment feel special.

Franklin Skin Studio - Brings the best treatments and knowledge tailored to each clients needs. The perfect gift card!

Uncommon James - Okay, had to add this in - we're big fans of K Cav + if you watched Laguna Beach, you might be, too! This shop is in Nashville but you can find all the goods online as well with perfectly curated gifts by type and price - it makes gifting within budget easy peesy!

🛍️ RICHMOND

Sydney Hale Co. - Sydney Hale produces wonderful home fragrance products. Made locally in Richmond, they also donate 2% of their revenue to animal rescue organizations and other organizations that benefit the Richmond community. The Eucalyptus and Sage candle is a personal favorite! You can find their products in locations around Richmond as listed on their website.

Youthful Beginnings - Medi-spa with several area locations and offer a wide range of therapeutic services designed to relax, pamper and improve your well-being.

Burn Down For What - Woman-owned, Richmond-based candle company making hand-poured soy wax candles with bold scents and creative slash hilarious branding.

Mongrel - Strolling through Carytown shopping for gifts? This is your place! Mongrel has served as Richmond’s uncommon card and gift store. From the irreverent greeting card to the perfect gift, Mongrel is filled with life choices-for home, body, mind and soul.

Yellow Umbrella - This is our go-to place for seafood when guests are in town. Yellow Umbrella, specialty grocery store and community of food lovers who take great pride in providing sustainably-sourced seafood, pasture-raised meats, house-made prepared foods, locally-sourced provisions, and a curated selection of wine and beer to our loyal customers. They expanded to Libbie Mill and are working on an awesome restaurant concept in Scott's Addition!
