Cody's Restorative Elixir

Tis' the season for sweets, drinks, and busy calendars. This delish drink can help by giving an immune boosting dose of Vitamin C as well as quell inflammation… and did I mention it tastes great, too?

  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced fresh turmeric
  • fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon thinly sliced fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup seltzer water - lime is a great choice!
  • Lime slices and mint leaves (optional)

How it's done:

Step 1

Muddle turmeric, mint, ginger, sugar, and salt in a cocktail shaker. Add juices and a few ice cubes; cover and shake for 15 seconds.

Step 2

Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Add seltzer; stir. Garnish with lime slices and mint leaves, if desired.

This drink can also be made in batches... pro-tip: be sure to shake it up frequently or you may find yourself with an extra spicy sip!
